Welcome to the home of O.W.G.
Local author and poet Angela L. Garratt started O.W.G. in August 2014. Angela had a dream of sharing her writing knowledge and inspiring the local community to follow their dreams.
Unlike other writing groups, we don’t write during our meetings. Instead, we share our work, we support and encourage each other, we share our writing and publishing knowledge, and we have interesting discussions about writing and life in general. We also go on inspiring trips and writing events, such as the Pow Wow Writing Festival, and we organise charity events.
So, if you are a writer who wants support, help, advice, and encouragement, then the Oldbury Writing Group is the writing group for you. We are always on the lookout for new members, so if you would like to join you can contact us via our contact page or come and see us – we’re a friendly bunch.
